During Playstation Store’s last update on the PS4 in North America, Sony has mistakenly added a banner page with the title of: “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare”, which is now thought to be the official name of the next Call of Duty game that is set to be released later this year and is developed by Infinity Ward. Sony has quickly removed the banner page after realising what happened during the update, and no other information is known about the game has been revealed as of yet.
One of the new listings in an internal retail document show that the next Call of Duty game may be revealed next Tuesday the 3rd of May 2016. The image was posted by a well known and experienced games critic: Jim Sterling, therefore it is more believable than your average google image that you find on the internet. Neither Activision or Infinity Ward have released any public details about the game or its contents.
Another Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare image has been leaked from an unknown source. It appears to show a date under the main title: “11.4.16”, which indicates that the game is going to be released on the 4th of November 2016. It is not known whether the image is real, however if it is then the date has been put on what looks to be the cover of a standard version of the game.
Someone posted an image that looks like a poster for the “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition” on Snapchat. The top of the poster also appears to state that the legacy edition includes a copy of a remastered version of CoD: Modern Warfare, which could mean that the game will be re-released with improved graphics and possibly new features. This image of a poster came from an unknown source, therefore nothing is certain in terms of what the official poster for the game may actually look like as this image may easily just be a hoax. Hopefully that is not the case as a remastered version of the first Modern Warfare game would be a fun addition to the franchise.
